What I worked on
I worked part-time in Northeastern’s Information Technology Services department, while in classes, during the campus-wide transition from landlines to Voice over IP.
I installed hundreds of Microsoft Teams-enabled VoIP phones across offices, classrooms, and labs, removed outdated landlines and their wiring, and produced and filmed 10 instructional guides to help the university community adopt the new system.
I was mentored by a veteran telecommunications expert who had worked at Verizon for almost 30 years, and gained insight into corporate transformations and the evolution of telecommunications.
